DreamLeague Season 23: Format, Schedule, Teams, And More
DreamLeague Season 23 is a few days away. The tournament will be the last pit stop for teams at ESL Pro Tour Season 2 before the start of The Riyadh Masters 2024. This online tournament hosts a million-dollar prize pool.
DreamLeague Season 23 will begin on May 20, after PGL Wallachai Season 1 concludes. Without further ado, here's the DreamLeague Season 23 preview, containing its schedule, formats, and teams.

DreamLeague Season 23 is the twenty-third iteration of the online tournament hosted by ESL One. It is part of ESL Pro Tour Season 2. DreamLeague Season 23 is also the last chance for teams to collect valuable EPT points to qualify for the upcoming 2024 iteration of The Riyadh Masters at the Esports World Cup.
The Participating Teams

Twelve teams will participate in this online tournament. Among those twelve teams, four teams are from EPT leaderboards. The rest found their way through the qualifiers.

The panel set up at the DreamLeague Season 20. (Image Source: Twitter.@ESLDota2)DreamLeague Season 23 follows a tournament format similar to the previous iterations of the tournament, but there's a catch. DreamLeague Season 23 only features a single group stage, then straight into the playoffs.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket. Third and fourth-placing teams will go to the lower bracket, while the remaining teams will get eliminated. All the matches played during the group stages will be Best of twos (Bo2).

The playoffs of DreamLeague Season 23 will feature a double-elimination bracket. All the series during the playoffs will be Best of Threes (Bo3s). The grand final will be a best-of-five series. The double elimination gives some advantage to the teams starting from the upper bracket as the lower bracket will act as a safety net when they lose an upper bracket series. They can still find their way to the grand-finals through the lower bracket.
