IEM Katowice 2016 Group Stage

The tenth season of Intel® Extreme Masters comes to an end. And as the last two last years, it ends in Katowice. The tournament features 12 teams where 8 of them are invited directly to the tournament and the other 4 has to qualify through the regional qualifiers. The teams are placed into two round robin groups where the winner of each group advances directly into the semifinals of the playoffs. Second and third placed team will advance to the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Quarter and semifinals are played in a BO3 format while the grand final is played in a BO5.
