2023 LCS Spring MVP: C9 Berserker
Award season for the 2023 LCS Spring Split is officially over. With MVP revealed, every regular season award for the LCS has been given out. Cloud9's ADC prodigy Berserker is the LCS' 2023 Spring MVP!
C9 Berserker
Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol concludes his third split playing for Cloud9, securing an MVP for himself. Berserker first joined Cloud9 in November 2021, getting signed before the start of the LCS 2022 Spring Split.
Originally, Berserker's lane partner was FlyQuest's Kim "Winsome" Dong-keon, before Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen made the role swap from ADC to Support. Whether it's built-upon synergy from being in C9 together for 1.5 years now, or the rookie + veteran pairing, Berserker and Zven compliment each other very well. In a February 2023 Upcomer Interview with Zven, he expressed the only ADC he wanted to play with was Berserker. The ADC phenom expressed the same opinion of Zven, too.
Berserker continues to spit out highlight reels, and the above MVP reveal video created by the LCS shows this in spades. The 2v4 Draven Quadra against FlyQuest stands out as one of his most impressive plays. Perfect spacing for his auto-attacks, coupled with an expertly timed Bailout from Zven's Renata to secure Berseker a Quadra Kill, defeating FlyQuest to secure first place in the standings.
Cloud9 continues to come out on top when it comes to scouting talent. Their promotion of Jang "EMENES" Min-soo to starting mid-laner increased their already upward trending stock this split.

Many expected faces made their way onto the short-list for 2023 LCS Spring MVP. Impressively, four of five Cloud9 members made the short-list, with EMENES narrowly missing out likely due to his entry two-thirds into the regular season.
Golden Guardians' Kim "River" Dong-woo and Kim "Gori" Tae-woo got a shout-out as well, but surprisingly no Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes on the short-list. Peter "Doublelift" Peng and Can "Closer" Çelik get a nod, both showing very solid performances in the regular season.
With 2023 LCS Spring MVP going to Berserker and Cloud9, the organization has brought home one MVP award every year since 2019.
