2024 VCT Americas League Stage 1: Format, Schedule and More
The first stage of the 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour Americas League will kick off April 6th. The first leg of the two stage league will feature the 11 partnered teams playing for VCT Masters Shanghai qualification, championship points and a prize pool.
Let’s go over the format, groups, and schedule of the upcoming tournament.
2024 VCT Americas League Stage 1: Format
As previously mentioned the Americas league will be divided into two stages. The eleven competing teams will be divided into two groups.
The groups for 2024 VCT Americas League are as follows:
Group Alpha:
Group Omega
In the first stage, the teams will play with the teams from other group i.e. cross-group games. The second stage following Masters Shanghai will feature inter-group games where the teams will play inside their own group.
Each team from Group Alpha will play every team from Group Omega. The five week action featuring 30 fixtures will be spread across five weeks featuring a single Super Week.
Top three teams in each group will qualify for the Mid-season Playoffs. The playoffs will thus feature six teams similar to the last season. The top teams from each group will be directly seeded in the Upper Semifinals, whilst the bottom two seeds fight to face the higher seeds.
All the games will be Bo3 with the exception of Lower Finals and the Grand Finals which will be Bo5. Top three teams from the playoffs will then qualify for the second Global VALORANT event in VCT Masters Shanghai.
