In discussion with Strafe Esports’ Ganesh and Zen, we’ve assembled a list of the top-rated Valorant players in based roles categories. The categories are Flex, IGL, Entry, Site Anchor, OPer, Recon and Controller. Picks and roles are subjective.

For any team to pierce the defense, a suitable spear is needed. What greater blessing can an IGL receive, than a cracked entry player to create windows of opportunity. They are the first contacts, the brighest stars we all want to emulate. They are the fastest guns in the world, the first to leap into the fray and chaos. Without further delay, here is the Strafe Esports 2022 Top 5 Entry Pro Players.

Byung-chul “BuZz” Yu (1)

Topping our list is the star duelist of DRX. Strong utility usage and timings allows “BuZz” to incite maximum chaos and create space. With an FK/FD (First Kill-First Death) of 0.23/0.2 according to vlr.gg, “BuZz” has been a consistent entry machine for the South Korean juggernaut in 2022.

Pontus “Zyppan” Eek (2)

The wrecking ball of EMEA, “Zyppan” comes in swinging at number 2 on the list. Boasting a 0.26/0.14 FK/FD, DRX’s higher placing and more consistent performances just barely keeps him back. Moreover, for “Zyppan,” the agent is everything. As high as his stats are on Raze, he falls flat on Jett with a 0.09/0.23.

Zachary “zekken” Patrone (3)

Fast-rising prodigy of NA, the former XSET spear is steadily building a reputation. Despite being overshadowed by Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban, “zekken” has succeeded in posting a peak 0.26/0.16 FK/FD in 2022. Whilst his Raze is less impressive at 0.14/0.15, he truly does send it as a star entry.

Erick “aspas” Santos (4)

No passion burns brighter than the Brazilians, so goes the saying in Esports. Loud and proud, LOUD esports exploded onto the Valorant scene in 2022 as a frontrunner for the throne. Their victory at Champions only highlights their immense strength already. “aspas” was a key part of their force, with an equally explosive entry FK/FD of 0.20/0.13. One of the most impressive entries, chances were, if you sensed LOUD coming, “aspas” was already on you.

Angelo “keznit” Mori (5)

God-slayers KRU Esports saw their 2022 rise to fame. Star player and entry “keznit” enabled massive plays from the team with entries befitting. His FK/FD of 0.16/0.24 fails to do justice to the force KRU has become and “keznit” has shaped 2022 into a suitable staging ground for his rise.

Honorable Mention: Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto

Perhaps the most compelling narrative of 2022 Valorant has to be the rise of Paper Rex. The plucky SEA team that would not be put down, their savage, unorthodox playstyle stunned many of opponents. At the head of it, is fan favorite star “f0rsakeN”, who has wowed the community with his incredible aim, mind-bending plays, and miracle-creating Yoru.

Stay tuned for more top five for other roles.
