PARIVISION Re-Enters The Dota 2 Competitive Scene
PARIVISION, has announced their return to Dota (after a brief stint in 2022 with a roster that included 9pasha and Immersion), guided by the experienced coach Filipe "Astini" Astini, known for his work with teams like Cloud9 and his deep involvement in the South American Dota scene.
In a recent YouTube update, Astini shared key details about the roster shuffle and his vision for PARIVISION's future.
Pre-TI Roster Shifts Already in Motion
Astini had briefly worked with C9 before they disbanded a month ago. He revealed that several high-profile roster moves were already in the works even before The International (TI) concluded. One of the most notable was GG's irrecusable offer to Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov, known pub star and one of the most promising carry players at this time. Watson, who showed incredible promise throughout the year, received an offer that was impossible to turn down.
Such early commitments illustrate how quickly the post-TI roster shuffle can begin, even before the tournament's final matches are played. This aggressive approach to securing talent is common in the modern Dota 2 ecosystem, especially this year, as the shuffle was shorter than ever: the first major tournament started only a week after TI concluded.
Internal Conflicts at Cloud9
Astini didn’t shy away from addressing internal team dynamics at C9. According to him, the C9 players were vocal about their reluctance to continue playing with Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk, and it appears this discord played a significant role in C9's roster changes post-TI.
It's no secret that players’ relationships within a team can make or break performance on the big stage. Astini even revealed that he had approached most of the nouns lineup, to potentially join the squad. However, this plan fell through.
DM's Loyalty to Astini
One of the more personal points shared was DM’s desire to continue working with Astini. According to Astini, DM expressed a strong preference to stick with him due to the noticeable improvement in his gameplay and performance.
Astini's Take on Crystallis and Puppey's Influence
As a side note, Astini also shared his thoughts on Remco "Crystallis" Arets, who he believes has developed into a strong player, particularly under the mentorship of Puppey. However, Astini added an intriguing point about long-term player development under figures like Clement "Puppey" Ivanov.
According to him, while players can learn a lot from such legends, staying too long in their shadow may lead to picking up habits that don’t necessarily serve their growth well in the long run. What exactly that refers to is unclear, but it’s certainly a spicy take.
Looking Ahead: A New Force in Dota 2?
As Dota 2 fans and analysts alike keep an eye on the evolving roster shuffle and the dawn of a new competitive season, Astini’s bold moves and insider perspective offer a glimpse into the ever-changing landscape of professional Dota.
What remains to be seen is how the new roster will perform in upcoming tournaments. Their first match will be on the 24thof October, against a relatively unknown stack called Team 123, in the RES Regional Champions tournament.
