Berserker and Pyosik join the new Kwangdong Freecs for LCK 2025
Former T1 Challengers and Cloud9 bot laner Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol has returned to LCK once again to join the Kwangdong Freecs 2025 roster.
Alongside the LCS alumnus, former World Champion and KT Rolster’s jungler Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon will join the cause, looking to reach the Worlds’ stage once more under a new banner.
The final new member of the team comes from the LPL’s FunPlus Phoenix, Support Kim “Life” Jeong-min joins to round out the 2025 KDF LCK roster.
The organization has also announced the addition of two new coaches, Gen.G CL’s Son "Punch" Min-hyuk and Team Liquid’s Jung "RapidStar" Min-sung, helping the players reach new heights.
The organization has retained the current Top, Mid and Support in addition to the new names, creating a six-man roster going into 2025.
With all the new additions, the LCK 2025 KDF roster is as follows:
- Top: Lee “DuDu” Dong-ju
- Jungle: Hwang “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon
- Mid: Lee “BuLLDoG” Tae-young
- Bot: Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol
- Support: Moon “Andil” Gwan-bin
- Support: Kim “Life” Jeong-min
The new members bring in the much needed international experience to the relatively young core of the Freecs roster.
In Berserker, the team has a bot laner that has faced some of the best players in the world, having won the LCS twice - including the LCS Championship back in 2022. Pyosik, the former Worlds champion, will also do much to bolster the squad with experience of taking down the best players in the world.
These additions along with the coaches and the new support life, creates a unique blend of players and staff with experience in multiple leagues around the world. The vision is to likely use the unique blend of strategies to turnaround the fortunes of a seemingly mediocre Freecs.
The move officially kicks off the LCK 2025 rostermania. Track the LCK 2025 rostermania on Strafe.
