DreamLeague tournaments have often been the kryptonite of  Team Liquid. In recent DreamLeague tournaments, they couldn't even make it out of the initial group stage.

However, DreamLeague Season 24 played out differently for them. While Team Liquid successfully advanced past the first group stage, they were unable to shake off their struggles in the second round. As a result, BetBoom Team delivered the final knockout blow to Team Liquid.

BetBoom Team bounced back hard in second group stage

BetBoom Team and Team Liquid were placed in the same group during the initial group stage. In their first encounter, BB Team took a clean series off the TI13 champions. However, despite this victory, they were on the brink of elimination.

In the second group stage, BetBoom Team made a statement. They only dropped a single series against Tundra Esports and swept most of their other opponents.

In their series against Team Liquid, BetBoom dominated the reigning TI champions. In fact, in the second game of the series, their safelaner, Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, went on a tear with his Shadow Fiend, securing seven kills in seven minutes. When asked about his performance in that game, Pure revealed that his pub practices had helped him pull off such a showing.

"Honestly, it's our casual pub – SF, Tusk with Kataomi. We love to play with each other in pub. Sometimes, I do pick SF and sometimes he does pick this Tusk and that's what this happens. We play like a humans on the lane."

Pure talks about the draft

BetBoom Team also featured a midlane Morphling with Flow facet in their second game against Team Liquid. In his post-game interview, Pure reflected on this decision.

" Honestly, it was my suggestion to pick the Morph. I was looking in the draft and I was like maybe we can do some Morph, SF flex. On the last pick Morph was quite good for them as well. So, I just suggested it and after they picked the Tiny, I was like – it's a cinema Morph game. It's literally best game for mid Morph ever."

Pure also provided insight into their drafting process and his contributions in his post-game interview.

"Lately, Boolk and Save- been doing some preparations. I help them sometimes. Sometimes not, sometimes I was just playing pubs. I will say mainly we trust drafting is free most likely. Like me and Boolk and Save- and we decide on the heroes – what we gonna pick, what counters the draft gonna like. I do some crazy stuff but you know any people in the team can suggest something like KOTL mid. Again, any people in the team can just say the hero what they want to play and we gonna discuss it. If it's gonna look good, we gonna pick it and we gonna play well 'cause all and all we're playing good."

Pure shares his thoughts on Ringmaster

Recently, Valve teased a new hero the following day following the climax act of the Crownfall event. This update could also make Ringmaster, a newly released hero, playable in official matches.

Pure expressed his confusion about the timing of the gameplay update during the middle of the tournament and shared his thoughts on the Ringmaster.

" I'm not sure if it's an update patch. Usually, on the DreamLeague, there are always some patches – I don't know why it keeps happening. I think Ringmaster is kind of broken – I've seen some guys playing it every pub, spamming it and having 70% win rate. The hero needs to fixed, ofc ourse to pick. Maybe they gonna let us finish the DreamLeague first and they gonna release the patch. We'll see."

With their victory against Team Liquid, BetBoom Team directly qualified for the upper bracket final in the DreamLeague Season 24 playoffs.
