BLAST Reveals the Future of Rainbow Six Siege Esports
BLAST has thrilled fans with a comprehensive update on Rainbow Six Siege’s competitive scene, outlining major changes to the league structure, R6 Share program, and qualification paths for the Six Invitational 2026.
2025 Season Calendar: New Format and Key Dates
The 2025 Rainbow Six Siege season introduces significant scheduling changes:
Kick-off Tournament: Reload
The BLAST R6 2025 season begins in May 2025 with a kick-off tournament called Reload, hosted in Brazil. This event replaces the May Major, inviting 20 R6 Share teams to compete.
Challenger Series for Aspiring Teams
During the off-season (March to April), the Challenger Series offers non-R6 Share teams a chance to qualify for regional divisions.
Seasonal Highlights
- First Stage: June–July
- Second Stage: August–October (with a break for third-party competitions in August)
- November Major: Key tournament leading to Six Invitational 2026 qualifiers.
Six Invitational 2026 Qualifiers
The regional qualifiers for the Six Invitational 2026 will run from December to January, with the championship scheduled for February 2026.
Revamped Regional League Structure
BLAST is consolidating nine leagues into four regional top-flight leagues to streamline competition and expand global representation.
New Regional Divisions
- NAL: North America and Central America
- EML: Europe, Turkey, and MENA
- SAL: Brazil and South Latin America
- APL: APAC North, Asia, and Oceania
NAL, EML, and SAL: Each league will feature 10 teams, with the Top six of a combined Stage 1 and 2 advancing to the respective Regional Finals.
APL: Includes three sub-divisions (APAC North, Asia, and Oceania), where the League will proceed as before. The Top 2 from each region will qualify for the Regional Finals.
November Major Qualification
- The best four teams from Stage 2 in NAL, EML, and SAL will qualify for the November Major.
- APL will have a separate LAN Major Qualifier.
R6 Share Program 2025: Updated Team List and Features
Confirmed Partner Teams
Eighteen of the 20 R6 Share partner teams have been announced, featuring both established and rising esports organizations:
Two additional teams will be revealed at the Six Invitational 2025 in Boston.
Affiliate Program for New Teams
The Affiliate Program will integrate teams that qualify for regional leagues, offering them benefits similar to R6 Share partners, including revenue shares from in-game content sales.
To enhance engagement, the R6 Share program will introduce new drone skins, operator card portraits, and the return of esports charms.
Six Invitational 2026: New Qualification System
The path to the Six Invitational is evolving, providing multiple routes to secure a spot:
- Winning the November Major
- Winning Regional Finals
- Winning a regional SI qualifier
- Ranking among the top 11 teams in Global Standings
In total, 20 teams will qualify for the event, compared to the 16-team format used for the Six Invitational 2025.
