Bleed Esports adds Misery as their New Coach
Bleed Esports announced via Twitter the International 2016 runner-up, Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen, has joined them as a coach ahead of the final tour of the DPC 2022-2023 Season. Earlier this month, the team parted ways with their former coach Lee “Forev” Sang-doh and brought in MISERY a week later. Misery was a former hard support player for Hellbear Smashers before he joined TSM as a coach during the team’s run at The International 2022. Unfortunately, during his time in the team, TSM was the first team to get eliminated after the end of the group stages.
The Long Return
Misery parted ways with TSM after the end of The International 2022, taking some time away from the professional Dota 2 scene. Even though Misery had never played for the SEA region, the veteran also played with one of Bleed Esports players, Kim "DuBu" Doo-young, during his time at TSM. DuBu currently is playing as a hard support for Bleed Esports.
Misery was known for his out-of-the-box thinking during his time as a player. He had played every role, but his greatest achievement was when he was a midlaner at Digital Chaos. The team make an unbelieve dark horse run through the lower bracket of The International 2016, eliminating the favourite in the process. However, at the grand-finals, they lost to Wings Gaming in the grand-finals.
Not fantastic results
The DPC 2022-2023 season has not been kind to Bleed Esports. The team struggled during The Winter Tour and placed 6th, merely dodging the relegations. Going into the Spring Tour, Bleed Esports bought in Daryl "iceiceice" Koh and Djardel "DJ" Mampusti as the team’s new offlaner and soft support.
Despite the team’s best efforts, the team scored two wins and five losses at the Spring Tour and placed 6th yet again, dodging the relegations once more. The team consisted of upcoming talents in the SEA region, such as Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong and Teng "Kordan" Tjin Yao.
Under Misery’s leadership and experience, it will be interesting to see how much the team can improve during this short duration before Ti 12. The team's upcoming match against Execration is on May 15th.
