Caedrel signs with Fnatic League of Legends as Content Creator
Marc “Caedrel” Lamont has been announced by Fnatic as their newest Content Creator acquisition. The former professional player turned analyst and caster turned content creator was one of the top English-speaking streamers on Twitch in 2023 and brings a massive brand following to the UK organization.
In 2024, Fnatic has announced that Caedrel will be an integral part of their Fnatic ecosystem and will be present in a large number of their planned content throughout the calendar year.
Match Made in Heaven: Behind The Scenes Content, Collaborations with the Professional Team, Co-Streaming
In many ways, what can only be seen as a further step-up for Caedrel, his signing with Fnatic will only further bolster both his own and Fnatic’s brand. Having already exploded onto the scene as a popular caster and content creator; by the end of 2023, Caedrel had turned to full-time streaming. Furthermore, by this point, Caedrel had grown into one of the largest and most recognizable streamers in the League of Legends space.
Now having reached an agreement with Fnatic to stream under their brand, the organization has promised to deliver even more content including the ‘Rat King.’ Amongst the content to expect in 2024 from Caedrel and Fnatic are behind the scenes interviews and content, content collaboration with both the League of Legends and Valorant teams, fan meet and greets, giveaways, as well as co-streaming of course. In a tweet, Caedrel announced his full 2024 plans, which involved co-streaming for the LEC, LCK, LPL, as well as LCK Challenger’s League (specifically T1 Academy and Rekkles).
Furthermore, Caedrel also thanked Fnatic for the opportunity and talked about winning Worlds with Fnatic as a co-streamer.
With the LEC Winter Split kicking off today, fans will be able to start their season watching alongside one of League’s most entertaining content creators. Moreover, Caedrel will also be able to co-stream the 2024 Winter Split on-site. According to the regulations, in order to do so, streamers would have to be part of an organization. Also, he will be streaming from Riot’s recently renovated Riot Games Arena in Berlin, being part of the first batch of content creators to earn the privilege of showing off the inside of the new venue.
One of the Biggest Brands in League of Legends
Especially considering the Western hemisphere, Caedrel has undoubtedly grown into one of the most recognizable names in the scene, and is frequently attributed with high-level analytical content, a fun energetic community on-stream, and a good mix of professionalism and casualness. This mix has allowed him to rise to the top of the list of content creators, finishing amongst the top 60 on Twitch in 2023.
This marks the third time Caedrel joins an esport organization as a content creator, the first being in 2020 with DRX and the second time being in 2022 with Excel. After finishing his time as a professional player under their banner, he retired from competitive play at the end of 2020, reemerging shortly after a caster in the LEC.
During his tenure as a caster, he was also made DRX’s official global streamer. He held the position for roughly a year until early 2022, where he rejoined Excel as a content creator, a position he held until December of that same year. Towards the tail end of 2023, Caedrel announced his imminent retirement from casting, devoting his full-time to streaming.
Despite not having an especially notable player career, Caedrel is best known for his time on the LEC desk, blending his professional experience as a former player with insightful analysis and observations which quickly marked him as one of the top desk talents in the LEC. On top of that, his dedication to streaming and creating a following, matched with his energetic personality, quickly earned him a large cult following.
