The time has come! The Dota 2 post TI patch has been released with a number of key changes to the game. While we may have anticipated that the patch wouldn’t arrive until the new year, Valve have jumped in to surprise us!

Patch 7.32d has some important changes to items and significant buffs and nerfs to a number of heroes that played a key role in TI 11’s drafts. There’s not too much in here that fans didn’t expect but they’ll be nonetheless disappointed with more Marci nerfs after she turned out to be the most contested hero at TI.

Item changes in post TI patch - Wraith Pact nerfed!

Only 9 items have been affected in this patch including Blademail, Guardian Greaves and Crimson Guard. Nonetheless, the changes will have some huge impacts on the game. Anyone at all who has played a game of Dota since TI has probably come into contact with Wraith Pact and anyone who has played with Leshrac will have encountered a Bloodstone. With a few weeks of part 2 of the Battle Pass still left, there’s a lot of time to take advantage!

Wraith Pact

This was the most broken item of recent games. Now, though, Wraith Pact will only affect physical damage from spells and attacks, not magical or pure. It seems safe to say that while still powerful, it’ll become far less common.

Bloodstone

The Bloodstone/Leshrac combination also made itself known at TI11 this year. The health and mana bonuses made him almost unstoppable going into the mid-late game. While the regen has nerfed by 50 on both ends, this is still a formidable item for him.

Wraith Pact has finally been nerfed in patch 7.32d!

Hero changes - Post TI patch is coming for Marci!

It’s not just items that have fallen foul of the post TI patch! While there have been some really minor improvements including Lion’s Earth Spike damage and Kunkka’s Ghost Ship, it seems that the devs were out for blood when it comes to the nerfs.

Ogre Magi - Regen? Don’t know her

First, a little good news. Ogre Magi fans will know that the nerfs to his health regen in the previous patch made his laning stage incredibly difficult. And while he has received a small buff now, the regen has only gone from 0.25 to 0.75. It’s certainly better than nothing but not as good as it could be!

Marci - On and on

It seems like Marci has been nerfed in every single patch since her release, which pretty much proves how badly balanced she was at the start. This time, Rebound and Sidekick were in the firing line with jump range and speed and lifesteal being reduced.

Primal Beast - Onslaught

Stuns are the bane of Primal Beast’s existence and that theme is continuing. Now, his Onslaught run can be canceled by a well placed and timed stun. Not only that but there are early stage damage reductions too.

With the DPC leagues fast approaching, pro teams will be taking the time to analyze the changes and build their new strategies. In fact, this gives them a lot more time than originally anticipated. Fans will still have to wait a little longer for the new hero Muerta to be released though!
