DPC 2023 Tour 2 Preview (Eastern Europe)
Eastern European teams have a lot to prove in Tour 2 of Dota Pro Circuit 2023. This region used to be the second-best in the world and won The International 2021. But in Tour 1 of this season, all of its three Major representatives failed to deliver.
The most shocking result was obtained by BetBoom Team. After winning the regional competition with a flawless record, the squad led by Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko finished eighth in group B with a record of 1 W – 4 D – 3 L. This was an unexpected result but to be fair, with just 2 more points they would have secured a spot in the upper bracket!

Tour 2 Favorites in EEU Division I
Because of the roster changes and relatively poor experience of all the other EEU teams, there’s little chance that BetBoom and Spirit will face any real opposition. The only competitor that can realistically challenge them is HellRaisers.
Alexey “Solo” Berezin upgraded his squad by kicking Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin and bringing in his former teammate from Virtus.pro, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev. This move will likely result in a much better performance for HellRaisers because the strength difference between the two players is huge.

RAMZES won numerous Majors with Solo as his captain, so he understands his style very well. Hopefully, the rest of the squad will be on the same page.
In Tour 1, HR finished third and then went on to finish 9th – 12th at the Lima Major. This time, they will likely secure the third spot again for the Berlin Major and then get a top 8 result.
BetBoom and Spirit will compete against each other for 1st place in the league. The two teams are scheduled to meet on March 18. This means that if everything else goes according to plan, this week we will already have a clear understanding of who will be the winner of Tour 2 in EEU.
