Elige joins Complexity as he parts ways with Team Liquid
In a surprising turn of events, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, one of North America's top Counter-Strike players, has found a new home with Complexity after a potential deal with Evil Geniuses fell through.
The Future for Liquid:
Following a completed transfer between Complexity and Team Liquid, EliGE, a 25-year-old star, will remain in the North American scene. Team Liquid, on the other hand, has decided to build a European roster. As they have secured the services of Bulgarian rifler Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov and Russian rifler Robert "Patsi" Isyanov. Although there were rumors of EliGE considering a move to Evil Geniuses alongside some European players, the deal ultimately fell apart.
Other Interested Parties:
Earlier reports suggested that Evil Geniuses had engaged in discussions with both EliGE and former NAVI member Denis "electroNic" Sharipov. The organization had allegedly reached verbal agreements with Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko and Audric "JACKZ" Jug to create an ambitious European lineup. However, it appears that deals with zorte and JACKZ were not finalized, leading to Evil Geniuses being officially out of the running for EliGE's signature.
The Future with Complexity:
EliGE's move to Complexity will see him reunite with former Liquid teammate Michael "Grim" Wince and join forces with Norwegian AWPer sensation Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli. As a result of EliGE's arrival, Complexity has made the decision to remove Justin "FaNg" Coakley from their starting roster.
With the addition of EliGE, Complexity aims to bolster their roster. And improve their performance in the Americas qualifiers and RMR events. Meanwhile, Team Liquid's transition to Europe allows Complexity to potentially have a smoother path in regional competitions. EliGE is expected to make his debut for Complexity at the BLAST Premier Fall group stage. Which will commence on July 13, following the conclusion of the current player break.
It will be fascinating to see how EliGE's presence impacts Complexity. And whether the team can capitalize on his skills to achieve even greater success in the North American Counter-Strike scene.
