Europe and North America lock in teams for Esports World Cup
Both Europe and North America have finalized their representatives for the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. Each region held closed qualifiers, featuring eight teams that earned their spots through intense open qualifiers.
These closed qualifiers employed a single elimination bracket format, with every match being a Bo3 series. The top three teams from each region secured their places in Riyadh.
Europe
Team BDS
Team BDS was the first team from Europe to claim a ticket to Riyadh. Their journey through the closed qualifiers was marked by hard-fought victories. Wolves Esports
Wolves Esports secured the second European spot with a series of dominant performances. They began their campaign with a strong 2-1 victory against the formidable G2 Esports. Following this, they made quick work of Into the Breach, winning 2-0. This decisive victory ensured that Wolves Esports would join Team BDS in representing Europe on the grand stage in Riyadh.
Into the Breach
The final spot from Europe was contested between Team Secret and Into the Breach. Both teams showed resilience, taking each other’s map picks and pushing the series to a decider on Nighthaven Labs. In a spectacular display of skill, Into the Breach dominated the final map, securing a 7-2 victory and winning the series 2-1. This performance earned them the last European ticket to Riyadh.
North America
