Evil Geniuses (EG) officially announced on X that they are parting ways with Alexander "jawgemo" Mor, their last remaining player from the roster that won VALORANT Champions 2023. The organization shared a heartfelt video montage highlighting some of Jawgemo’s best moments during his time with EG, paying tribute to his impact on the team's success.

A Historic Run Comes to an End

Jawgemo joined Evil Geniuses in 2022, transitioning from T1 Academy. While his early tenure with the team was marked by modest tournament results, everything changed in 2023. EG’s 2023 season was a breakthrough, starting with a strong 3rd place finish in the VCT Americas League, followed by a 2nd place at VCT Masters Tokyo. The true highlight, however, came when the team secured the Champions 2023 trophy, defeating Paper Rex 3-1 in the Grand Finals. Jawgemo played a crucial role in their success, establishing himself as one of the team’s star players.

After EG disbanded most of their roster for the 2024 season, Jawgemo and head coach Christine "potter" Chi were the only two remaining members. Speculation about Jawgemo's future began to swirl. Early rumors linked him to G2 Esports, although this move has yet to be confirmed to the date of this writing.

Despite his departure, coach Potter shared her admiration for the player, stating in a post on X: “I know you're gonna kill it wherever you are. I've been your coach and biggest fan but now I'll just continue being your biggest fan.

Jawgemo's departure marks the end of an era for Evil Geniuses. He leaves as the longest-serving player on the team and a key figure in their 2023 success. His journey with EG was defined by perseverance and triumph, culminating in their rise to international stardom. Although his next step is still uncertain, fans are eagerly awaiting to see where his talent will take him next.
