In a move to fortify their depleted roster,Fnatic has announced the addition of three new riflers: Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro, Matúš "MATYS" Šimko, and Can "kyuubii" Ali. The trio will join Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and Aurélien "afro" Drapier, bringing the team back to full strength just in time for their debut at Elisa Masters Espoo on Wednesday, November 29.

Reunions and New Faces

The signing marks a reunion between bodyy and afro, a duo previously playing together on DBL PONEY, HEET, and LDLC. Known for his versatility, bodyy, a former G2 Esports player, will take on the calling role in Fnatic while also embracing additional fragging responsibilities.

Joining Fnatic alongside bodyy are the lesser-known talents MATYS and kyuubii, making the transition from Sampi and Sangal, respectively. Despite their limited experience, both players boast impressive statistics in the lower tiers of European competition. However, the 18-year-old German, kyuubii, enters the team on a trial basis, requiring him to prove his mettle to secure a permanent spot.

Recent Changes in Fnatic

These signings come on the heels of a series of changes in the Fnatic roster. William "mezii" Merriman departed for Vitality, leaving a void that needed urgent filling. Additionally, Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen moved to Preasy, signaling a shift in the team's dynamics. Most recently, Christopher "dexter" Nong, a key player for Fnatic, found himself benched, marking a notable alteration in the team's strategy and playstyle.

Roster Overview

With these additions, the fnatic roster stands as follows:

  • Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson
  • Aurélien "afro" Drapier
  • Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro
  • Matúš "MATYS" Šimko
  • Can "kyuubii" Ali (currently signed as a trial)

Jamie "keita" Hall continues to serve as the team's coach.

While Christopher "dexter" Nong finds himself on the bench.

What Lies Ahead for fnatic?

As the revamped Fnatic lineup prepares for its debut, the question remains: Will these new additions propel the team to greater heights, or will challenges persist in the competitive landscape? With uncertainties surrounding the chemistry among the new and existing players, Fnatic faces the daunting task of quickly finding its footing.

The upcoming Elisa Masters Espoo on Wednesday, November 29, will serve as a litmus test for the revitalized Fnatic. Fans eagerly await to see if the combination of experience from KRIMZ and afro, the tactical prowess of bodyy, and the fresh blood in MATYS and kyuubii can forge a formidable unit. The answer to these questions will likely shape Fnatic's trajectory in the competitive CS2 scene in the coming months.
