Fnatic to replace Cloud9 at YaLLa Compass
Fnatic will replace Cloud9 in Abu Dhabi for YaLLa Compass as they were unable to register a full roster in time.
In a post on X, tournament organizers Compass welcomed Fnatic after Cloud9’s failure at registering a full roster before the deadline. The American organization has undergone some roster changes, following their poor performances.
Initially, Cloud9 sold Denis "electroNic" Sharipov to Virtus.Pro and benched both Abay "HObbit" Khassenov and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, which left the team with only two players, forcing them to withdraw from ESL Pro League Season 19 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade.
This marks the third missed event by the organization, as their new signings remain shrouded in mystery. Although some leaks suggested a few possibilities, no official media outlets claimed the reports.
As a result, fnatic will make their LAN debut Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, after having played one online event with under the new organization at CCT Global Finals 2024, where they suffered an early exit from the group stage.
