Fnatic vs MAD Lions KOI: Spanish jungle supremacy
The LEC Season Finals upper bracket final is soon upon us. Fnatic and MAD Lions KOI are set to square off this Saturday (August 24th) to get one step closer to the LEC trophy and the World Championship.
The last time these two teams faced each other in a best-of-5 series was during the 2024 Winter Playoffs. MDK surprised Europe by beating Fnatic 3-2 and ultimately making it to the grand finals of the tournament.
Fnatic will be hungry for revenge, as well as for a chance to prove they are the team to beat in the LEC now. And yet, having recently defeated G2 Esports in the first round of the LEC Season Finals, MDK will be no easy stone to move out of the way.
Battle for the Spanish jungle supremacy
Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz and Javier "Elyoya" Prades, junglers for Fnatic and MDK, respectively, are remarkably similar players. Both junglers are players who are more than willing to dictate the pace of the game, often having their teams play around where they want to move and what plays they wish to execute.
Long hailed as some of the very best that Europe has to offer in the jungle, Razork and Elyoya both know what it means to play at the World stage level. With the chance to qualify for the upcoming World Championship, taking place in Europe later this year, the two Spanish junglers are sure to leave it all on the stage.
For Razork, the LEC title has been one particular accolade that has eluded him all throughout his career. While Worlds will surely be in his sights, there is no doubt Razork will show up on Saturday night hungry to get one step closer to that coveted European trophy.
Whatever the outcome, one thing remains clear, Spanish League of Legends fans will have a reason to feel proud, one way or the other.
When and where to watch
