Forgotten Forces: Valorant releases latest premium skin bundle, dark alien Araxys bundle amidst new Battlepass
So much to look forward to
The return of Split and the introduction of new map Lotus isn’t enough of a treat for Valorant fans, as Riot Games has unveiled their latest mad creation. The ‘Araxys’ skin bundle, will feature in the new Episode, titled as embodying alien technology deemed ‘too dangerous for mankind to wield safely.’
The skin line officially releases on Jan 10th, Tuesday, along with the launch of Episode 6, Act One. Moreover, as a premium skin bundle, it will be priced at 8700VP, featuring five weapon skins, a player card, spray, and gun buddy. The weapons in the pack are Vandal, Operator, Shorty, Bulldog, and melee weapon (reportedly named Bio Harvester).
The bundle comes with four variants. The originals will be gold, however, purple, black/red, and gray also exist as variant options. The collection, as per premium standard, will come with all the bells and whistles, including a custom finisher, and kill banners, along with the special VFXs and animations that come with every fancy skin bundle.
Furthermore, the ‘Araxys’ skin line faces serious competition with the unveiling of the new battlepass. The battlepass features three new skin lines: the 9 Lives, the Gridcrash and the Venturi. According to Riot, the battlepass was 'inspired by the celebrations taking place around the world during this time' such as New Years, Valentine's Day, and Lunar New Year.'
9 Lives
This new furry collection is cute, cuddly, and deadly. Featuring cute feline redesigns of Valorant agents, this artsy collection will be a sure-fire favorite for some. The skin line includes skins for the Phantom, Guardian, Classic, and Ares, and comes in four variants. Like other similar collections before that feature Valorant agent redesigns, each variants features a different agent. The default one has a gray and blue Jett cat, there’s an orange Raze cat, purple Reyna cat, and green Viper cat.
Gridcrash
Imagined as a neon, cyberpunk aesthetic, this skin line features Tron-like grids and an overall old-school cyber feel. The collection comes in Bulldog, Ghost, Judge, and Stinger.
Venturi
Inspired by the fast paced, sleek racing cars of the F1 racing scene, the Venturi collection takes its name from the iconic car manufacturer. The collection comes for the Frenzy, Marshal, Spectre, Vandal, and a melee item.
Sprays, Player Cards, and New Gun Buddies
For many, the most exciting part of the new battlepass is likely the insane artistic visuals of the player cards, drawn by Riot Games’ talented roster that bring some of the most visually impressive to life. Moreover, inventive, and cute, custom gun buddies add that little extra spice of personality to your collection, just so you know that’s your Prime phantom. Finally, since potentially the first episode, Riot has also been including community memes and funny moments via their ever growing collection of sprays. This incoming battlepass will be no different, with even more iconic memes redesigned for Valorant.
