GuardiaN Returns to Counter Strike as Coach
After a 2-year hiatus, 6-time Top 20 player Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács has made a thrilling return to the competitive scene. And this time, it's as a coach. GuardiaN will lead a new Counter-Strike team under the banner of BC.Game, a crypto casino platform that has recently entered the esports arena.
Building a Promising Roster
GuardiaN, a legendary sniper from his days in CS:Source and CS:GO, expressed his excitement about coaching. He revealed that they are still finalizing the new team's lineup and expect to announce it by the end of June.
His vast experience in the game includes representing Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, and FaZe. Between 2014 and 2019, he won 17 international LAN titles. This extensive background positions him as a valuable mentor for upcoming talents.
Reflecting on his new role, GuardiaN shared that it took some time for him to see himself as a coach. But he believes life is about trying new experiences. With the wealth of knowledge and skills he has accumulated from his playing days, he is eager to pass that on to the players he will coach. Following his last professional appearance with Sampi in late 2022, the 32-year-old is now ready for a new chapter. He is excited to embark on his journey in Counter-Strike 2.
Long-Term Goals and Aspirations
GuardiaN and BC.Game are focused on long-term success. Qualifying for a Major is a goal. However, the primary aim is to foster a supportive environment for players. This will help them grow and excel.
"Me and BC.Game are thinking long-term and aim to create a supportive environment for players. BC.Game wants us to play the best we can, improve as a team, participate in tournaments, and have fun along the way."
GuardiaN's return to the esports scene as a coach for BC.Game's new team is highly anticipated. His transition from a celebrated player to a mentor promises to bring fresh energy and invaluable expertise to the new roster, setting the stage for exciting developments in the world of Counter-Strike.
