Hans sama reportedly set to join G2 Esports in 2023
G2 Esports (G2) is rebuilding big time. With the departure of tenured G2 players Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle, Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski, and Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen in the last year, G2 is in need of potential franchise players. Could Hans sama fill this role for G2?
French AD Carry Steven "Hans sama" Liv is reported to join G2 Esports according to sources from reliable journalist LEC Wooloo on Twitter. As it stands, G2 has Victor "Flakked" Lirola Tortosa active on their roster, but this may change once the off-season begins following the conclusion of Worlds 2022.

Before heading to the LCS, Hans sama made a name for himself on Rogue, having some break-out performances, especially in the Group Stage portion of Worlds 2021. His game against FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) on Miss Fortune was a particular standout, finding crucial ultimates to wipe out FPX and finish the game 8/0/6. While Rogue failed to make it out of their group losing a tiebreaker to North America's Cloud 9 (C9), it was clear Hans sama was a skilled ADC.
If Hans sama were to join G2, the fan would further flame on the budding rivalry between G2 and Rogue. This past LEC Summer season, Rogue sweeped G2 3-0 in the LEC Summer 2022 Finals, bringing Rogue their first LEC title as an organization. Before Rogue toppled G2 in the finals, it was G2 in the most recent Spring 2022 season to 3-0 Rogue in the finals. Although Hans sama was on Team Liquid (TL) during both these series, he will be joining a G2 looking to take revenge on his former organization.
The LCS Summer 2022 season found TL concluding in the fabled fourth place, failing to qualify for Worlds 2022. Team Liquid looked to craft a 'super-team,' grabbing LCS legend Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg and accomplished European top laner Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau. Combined with established veteran jungler in Lucas "Santorin" Tao Kilmer Larsen, and world-class support Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in, this iteration of TL looked excellent on paper.
On 19 September, the official Team Liquid Twitter account announced Hans sama would be parting ways with their organization.

Despite Hans sama's disappointing performance with Team Liquid, a change of scenery and a return to where it all began could be exactly what this talented ADC needs.
