Launders to host first CS2 LAN in Toronto: How to Participate
Esports betting giant Rivalry has revealed their plans for FragFest, an eagerly awaited Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament set to make history as Toronto's inaugural event of its kind. Partnering with renowned Counter-Strike commentator Mohan ‘Launders’ Govindasamy, Rivalry aims to captivate the local esports community through this groundbreaking collaboration.
Tournament Overview
Rivalry, the operator, has scheduled FragFest to take place on January 6th, 2024, at the Red Bull Gaming Studio, located within the Toronto headquarters of OverActive Media, a prominent Canadian esports holding company.

The competition is open to players from all regions, with a minimum age requirement of 19 to register. Participants are not required to be existing Rivalry users in order to enter FragFest. However, all participating players must be in the Rivalry Discord for check-ins with the Tournament Admin.
Ticket Prices and Prize Pool
CS2 Team Tickets: $125 CAD: Secures a slot for the entire team.
Spectator Tickets: $10 CAD: Allows fans to witness local talent thriving.
With a 16-team capacity, FragFest boasts a prize pool of $5,000 CAD, divided amongst the top three teams:
- 1st Place: $3,000 CAD
- 2nd Place: $1,500 CAD
- 3rd Place: $500 CAD
