On the second day of the VALORANT Champions Seoul 2024 playoffs, Leviatan and Team Heretics secured their spots in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Thus, taking one step closer to the coveted trophy.

Meanwhile, G2 Esports and Fnatic found themselves relegated to the Lower Bracket, where they now face elimination in a high-stakes battle.

Leviatan 2-0 G2 Esports

The first match of the day was a thrilling rematch of the VCT Americas finals, pitting Leviatan against G2 Esports. Leviatan pulled off an incredible comeback on the first map, Icebox, securing a nail-biting 16-14 victory.

They followed up with a dominant 13-5 win on Abyss, closing out the series 2-0. Leviatan’s success was largely fueled by the stellar performance of Corbin "C0M" Lee, who played a crucial role in leading his team to victory.

With this win, Leviatan advanced to the Upper Bracket Semifinals, where they will face Team Heretics.

G2 head coach Josh "JoshRT" Lee feels like his team failed to meet his expectations on the second map:

“Definitely fell short of expectations. And I still think we're confident on that map. It's one of those like, we're a little bit nervous, we forgot certain win conditions that need to happen for us to make that comp work. And then before we adjusted, it was a little too late on getting enough rounds on attack.”

Team Heretics 2-0 Fnatic

The second match saw Fnatic go head-to-head with Team Heretics in another regional showdown. Although many expected a closely contested matchup, Team Heretics seized control from the outset. They dominated the first map, Lotus, with a commanding 13-3 victory.

Fnatic did manage to fight back by pushing the second map, Abyss, into overtime. But Heretics ultimately secured a 14-12 win, sealing their place in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.

Enes "RieNs" Ecirli had some words of appreciation for his teammate Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius after the game:

“I think Domi is the best Duelist in the world. I'm just saying this because he's not baiting like any other Duelist. KD is nothing in this game, in my opinion. If I'm on top, if we're on top, it's thanks to Domi. He's not baiting. He's playing the game how he should play. That's why we are good as a team.”

G2 and Fnatic are now set to face each other in the Lower Bracket tomorrow. Where both teams will fight each other to stay alive in the tournament. The pressure is on, as only one team can continue their journey in Seoul.
