The North American Valorant organisation Disguised have mutually decided to part ways with the flex play Drake "Exalt" Branly. In a tweet yesterday, Disguised announced the departure of Exalt from the roster. The roster will move forward without Exalt. They will play with Chris “Riku” Piasecki. Riku is the team's registered fifth for the rest of the Knights NA Challengers split. The decision comes after the roster's devastating loss to M80.

Disguised Run with Exalt:

Back in October 2022, Offline TV Streamer and Content Creator expressed his interest in venturing into Esports with Valorant. Toast started making moves in the Valorant scene. With the help of Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson, Toast got Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien on board as the brains of the operation and the Head Coach. With OCEAN putting together a team, the Disguised Valorant Roster was born. Led by the Steel, the roster consisted of the Knights Trio Exalt, XXIFF and Gengsta, with a young prodigal duelist in Clear.

The Valorant squad debuted at the Knights NA Challengers Open Qualifiers and defeated multiple strong teams to secure a spot in the main league. In their first match-up, the team lost to The Guard, likely the strongest team in NA Challengers. They bounced back with a win over the newly appointed Mad Lions to go 1-1 in the group. Facing OR Esports, DSG won the series on the last map in overtime on the backs of a 1v2 clutch from Clear.

For the fourth week, DSG faced M80, another contender for Ascension and lost horribly. In the series, DSG only got five rounds in total. After the devastating loss, Today, DSG announced the departure of Exalt from the Valorant roster.

Exalt's departure from DSG:

Exalt was one of the best performers in the squad, and the reason for his departure wasn't performance. Exalt is now an unrestricted F/A and is one of the most flexible F/As available in NA Valorant. With a load of Tier 2 experience, Exalt will be a strong pick-up for any team. In a tweet addressing his departure, Exalt clarified the reason for his departure. He also addressed alleged poaching accusations by the community.

Disguised Toast, the owner of DSG, also clarified on his part that the reason for the move wasn't performance but the lack of cohesion. Moreover, the decision was from the team and the coach and not his as the owner.

Valorant Streamer and CS:GO legend Tarik reacted to the news during his watch party with Ludwig, another content creator turned owner of Moist Moguls Valorant.

The Exalt move is the second shocking move in NA after C9's yay and Vanity move. As we advance, Exalt will search for a new team, and DSG will play with the registered sub in their upcoming match vs TSM.
