Roberto "Mazino" Bugueño, a 23-year-old Chilean VALORANT player, is reportedly set to rejoin KRÜ Esports for the 2025 VCT Americas season.

According to journalist Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis, Mazino has reached a verbal agreement with the organization. Thus marking his return to the club where his career began in 2021.

The move comes after Mazino's two-year stint with Leviatán, where he found mixed success on the international stage.

From KRÜ Esports to Leviatán

Mazino launched his professional VALORANT career with KRÜ Esports in early 2021. His time with Sergio Agüero's club proved fruitful. The Chilean qualified for several international tournaments and made a name for himself on the global stage. The highlight of his initial tenure with KRÜ came at VALORANT Champions 2021 in Berlin, where the team reached the semifinals before being eliminated.

In 2023, Mazino joined Leviatán alongside fellow Chilean player Angelo "keznit" Mori. Keznit then returned to KRÜ Esports after being benched before the 2023 season. But Mazino stayed with Leviatán. His first year with the club was underwhelming. Leviatán finished 5th in the VCT Americas and missed out on international competitions.

However, 2024 saw a major turnaround for Mazino and Leviatán . Teaming up with star player Erick "aspas" Santos, Mazino helped guide Leviatán to a 3rd-place finish in Stage 1 of the VCT Americas. In Stage 2, Leviatán finally secured the VCT Americas trophy. With Mazino earning the MVP award for his outstanding performance.

Their strong performance made Leviatan a favorite going into Champions 2024, but they ultimately secured 3rd place after Team Heretics eliminated them. But following their strong 2024 season, Leviatán allowed Mazino to explore his options for the 2025 season.

Lev CEO Fernando "F10" Diez hinted that both Mazino and Aspas were likely to depart the roster, and it now appears that Mazino will return to KRÜ Esports, reuniting with the organization that kickstarted his VALORANT career.

Mazino’s potential return to KRÜ Esports represents a homecoming for one of Latin America’s top players. As he rejoins his former club, fans are eager to see if Mazino can help KRÜ achieve new heights in the 2025 VCT Americas season.
