Meta Report on the heroes at Elite League
Xtreme Gaming emerged as the champions of the Elite League, marking the resurgence of the Chinese Dota 2 professional scene. For Team Falcons, their dominant streak was finally broken after two tournaments. Despite meeting with defeat in the first round, Xtreme Gaming quickly recovered and won the event.
The Stormcrafter Comes!
Disruptor was one of the most contested heroes in the Elite League with 61 appearances and 141 bans. He has a 59.02% win rate.
As a support, the hero offers a solid laning stage for his core with his abilities. Thunder Strike is a good tool for trading in the laning stage. Additionally, Glimpse comes in handy when catching an opponent trying to retreat or preventing initiation during any phase of the match. A good usage of Kinetic Field and Static Storm can change the tides of any skirmish.
Chen is the most banned hero in the tournament, appearing in only 15 matches while winning nine of them. Despite the hero getting hit with nerfs in the patch, players still don't want to face Chen. It is likely due to his abilities being a nuisance throughout the match. Penitence makes Chen's army deadly against squishy heroes. In addition, his Hand Of God can make skirmishes longer, resulting in his team's favour.
Other popular support heroes of the tournament include Shadow Demon, Tiny, and Rubick. Rubick was the most picked hero of the Elite League. Pro players like to play it because it offers control and damage reduction.
Pangolier Never Goes Out Of Style
Ever since his introduction, Pangolier has been a stable midlane pick. To this day, he still dominates the professional scene, and his reign shows no signs of ending anytime soon.
In the Elite League, the hero got picked 66 times and got banned in 117 matches. As a midlaner, Pango offers mobility and a solid laning phase. He can play from behind, and his ultimate Rolling Thunder, is a constant threat throughout the game. Moreover, Pangolier offers versatility as it can be played either as an offlane or a midlane. The hero has a 53.03% win rate.
Batrider is one of the stable picks in the professional scene, and in the tournament, the hero got picked 72 times. Additionally, he was banned 106 times. As a midlaner, Bat offers lane stability with solid harassment. The hero is also efficient at pushing the lane, and farming stacks thanks to his third ability, Fire Fly. Additionally, his ultimate ability, Flaming Lasso, allows him to easily displace a core hero out of skirmishes at any stage of the match. At the tournament, Batrider has a 51.39% win rate.
Timbersaw received nerfs in the current patch. However, the hero is one of the most sought-after heroes in the Elite League. Timber got picked 36 times and got banned 118 times. He's tanky, offers mobility and scales well into the game. Thus, teams used Timbersaw as a flex pick. Despite being an offlane hero, the hero is sometimes seen in the midlane. Timbersaw has a 47.22% win rate at the tournament.
The Tide Rises
Morphling is the top safelaner at the tournament. The hero has 56 picks and 63 bans in the Elite League. The hero has not undergone many changes in the previous patches, and his Khanda build is still viable in the current meta. Additionally, he is a strong pick against many of the popular offlaners in the game. At Elite League, Morphling has a 48.21% win rate.
Despite his nerfs, Lifestealer remains one of the top safelaners in Elite League. The hero got picked in 31 matches and got banned in 87. It is likely because the hero has a power spike in the mid-game, which can snowball into the late game. The hero has a 41.94% win rate.
It's great to know that Faceless Void and Luna are still not out of the meta at Elite League. The heroes are solid choices because they can farm fast, lane stability, and scale well as the match progresses.
Dangerous Water Park
We have learned from the Elite League that Kunkka requires nerfing in the upcoming meta. The Aghanim Scepter ability on this hero is so powerful that players prioritize purchasing Aghs as Kunkka's first item.Torrent Storm is an extremely potent ability, causing opponents to rethink their strategies before engaging in skirmishes.
The hero is played as a midlaner. However, Players also play KK as an offlaner in the tournament. Overall, Kunkka has 44 picks and 131 bans in the tournament. Due to his abilities, our favourite shipmate has a 50% win rate.
It's good to know that patch 7.35d is ending soon. You should try some of the heroes mentioned in the list as they can help you gain MMR before the new patch arrives.
