The end of the DPC Winter Tour for Division I teams is nigh. As the competitions are heating up in most regions, some regions already know which team will represent them for the upcoming Lima Major.

A preview

The first Major for the DPC 2022-2023 season will hold in Lima, Peru. For the first time, South American Dota 2 fans will be having their first LAN event as 18 Dota 2 teams from around the world will be duking out for their fair share of $500,000 USD in prize pool winnings and 400 DPC points.

The Major will consist of 4 teams from Western Europe and China, 3  from Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, and 2 from North American and South America.

North America and South America representatives for Major

TSM and Shopify Rebellion took the only 2 available slots given to North America.

Shopify Rebellion consists of former Evil Geniuses players along with Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek as the team’s offlaner. The team tears through every other team in the region with ease, taking clean wins.

TSM consists of a revamped roster, building the team around their safelaner and midlaner. The team’s former captain David “Moonmeander” Tan also switched his role as head coach of the team going into this season. The result of this tour could be the yield of the recent changes made by the team before going into this season.

Now with a score of 6-0, the only match remaining for both teams is against each other, and regardless of the results, both teams are qualified for the upcoming Lima Major.

Likewise, Beastcoast and Evil Geniuses will be representing the South American region in front of their home crowd.

The current iteration of Evil Geniuses consists of 3 former players from the Thunder Awaken, a team that helped South America secure their first-ever top 5 finish at The International.
