Night Pulse Accuses OG of Poaching Dota 2 Players
In a recent Telegram post, Night Pulse accused OG of poaching two of their players. The Serbian orginizations stated that Cedric "Davai Lama" Deckmyn and Ivan "Kidaro" Bondarev had agreed to join them, before OG started their own negotiations.
Both players played under the Night Pulse brand from January 15th until March 25th. In that time, they were listed as stand-ins for the organizations and had not signed documents listing them as players.
Night Pulse: "we see a gross violation of the norms and principles of fair competition"
In their two months with the organization, Davai Lama and Kidaro's best placements was winning CCT #7 and a second place at CCT #6. The team competed in several qualifiers for Fissure, PGL, and ESL but failed to make it to any tier-one events.
Near the time the players left, Night Pulse had reached a verbal agreement with all involved parties. This included terms, salaries, and other conditions for signing up. However, according to Night Pulse, the players started to do their best to get out of the agreement.
"However, a few days before the agreed signing date, some of the players on the team started to sabotage the contract signing process. The initiators of the interference in the team's processes were Cedric “Davai Lama” Dekmin and Ivan ‘Kidaro’ Bondarev."
Night Pulse further stated that OG had contacted the players after their negotiations had concluded. Despite verbal agreements, the conditions offered by OG were too good to pass up for Davai Lama and Kidaro.
Due to not knowing all the details involved, it's hard to know exactly how binding the agreement between Night Pulse and the players is. At this point, forcing Davai Lama and Kidaro to come back would likely backfire as well.
However, Night Pulse sees the actions of OG as potentially worth pursuing legally. No actions have been taken officially, but they did end their statement with a ominously.
"In such actions of the OG organization we see a gross violation of the norms and principles of fair competition, principles of sports integrity, fair play and legal rights of our organization. Our lawyers are studying this circumstance in detail."
We will update this story when further details are released.
