Nigma Galaxy’s Chances in Dota Pro Circuit 2023

Nigma Galaxy, despite being led by one of the most accomplished players in the history of Dota 2, have yet to qualify for an edition of The International.

Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi tried and failed to do this in 2021 and 2022, and many people feel like 2023 will be his final chance to save his career. At the age of 30, he doesn’t have much time left.

Roster Changes

Nigma are known for their conservative approach and their willingness to preserve a roster intact even if the results are poor. But now there was no other option. Amer “Miracle-“ Al-Barkawi had to take a break due to health issues and Kuro decided to bring in Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, a former OG player.

The only problem is that ATF used to play the position 3 role for OG, and now he’ll have to start playing position 1. Learning how to play the carry role takes years, and at the age of 17, ATF is far from being an experienced player. Compared to Miracle-, he’s probably not even 50% as competent.

Of course, this evaluation is based on what the statistics indicate. In practice, the player might surprise everyone and prove to be an absolute monster. But the odds are against him.

KuroKy will need to rely on Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and Maroun “GH” Merhej to get the job done in most of their games, at least until ATF masters the carry role. Fortunately for Nigma, they will play the first Tour of DPC 2023 in Division II. But Tour 2 will likely be much harder, assuming that they’ll be promoted.

Winning against the teams that dominated The International 11 is no easy task. And before Nigma get to play against them, they’ll probably need to beat Sebastien “Ceb” Debs’ new team, Old G.

In just a few more days, they might win one of the open qualifiers and secure a spot in Western Europe’s Division II. That would be great for the fans because it would guarantee some epic battles that are 100% worth watching.
