Today is the fourth day of the group stage at the Riyadh Masters 2024. In Group B, the picture of which teams are making the playoffs and which teams are getting eliminated is becoming clearer. In the opening series, Team Liquid, currently third in the group, faced off against Beastcoast.

The series was a one-sided affair in favor of Liquid. Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, the midlaner of Team Liquid, shared his thoughts on it in his post-game interview. He also reflected on how they approached the series.

Nisha: "I literally doesn't know who played in Beastcoast"

The first game was a one-sided stomp from Team Liquid. Their lineup, which consisted of Beastmaster, Razor, and a support Sven, was able to take early objectives. They successfully snowballed their advantage to an early victory at 28 minutes.

In his interview, Nisha admitted he had no idea about who plays at Beastcoast.  Nevertheless, he was content and praised his team's drafts, which made the game easier for him to play.

" I literally doesn't know who played there. I thought it was like Hector and Scofield, but different team. We watched some replays, we analysed their picks and they played pretty good. I didn't expect it, but after watching their replays, I was kinda scared. I'm glad that we have a good pick so it was easier to play."

In the first game, Liquid's offlaner, Neta "33" Shapira, performed marvelously on Beastmaster. He even secured a 13-minute Aegis after getting an early Aghanim Scepter on the hero. When asked about his teammate's in-game performance, Nisha expressed confidence in 33's ability to skillfully play the hero.

" Once we picked it, it goes to the hands of the master, and I don't even need to come his lane; helps him with Roshan. He 1v5 literally."

In the second game, the laning stage went better for Beastcoast. However, it all went downhill after that. Liquid, with their Morphling and Tiny draft, was able to close out the game in 31 minutes.

Nisha on his Ember Spirit: "I like to deal damage."

In this tournament thus far, Team Liquid won all three games in which Nisha played Ember Spirit. In his post-game interview, Team Liquid's midlaner revealed the reason behind his Facet choice, Double Impact, for Ember.

Nisha admitted the other facet, Chain Gang, is better, as it gives more utility. However, he is more fond of Double Impact because he prefers more damage and thinks it's better.

" I thought that Chain Gang is better because it's more utility. I've picked it a couple of times – won some, lost some. I feel like more damage is always better. I'm just sold on more damage; I like to deal damage."

Nisha, the midlaner of Team Liquid, mentioned that they have a good understanding of what to expect from the teams based on their practice matches. The player also shared his thoughts on the teams' performances in the group stage so far.

" From scrims, we kind of expected what happened in the groups. Entity won the group stage, so they're pretty good. Tundra are pretty good. I think nothing unexpected really happened."

After defeating Beastcoast, Team Liquid only has two series left in the group stage at the Riyadh Masters 2024. Stay tuned to our website for the latest coverage of all the action unfolding at the tournament.
