NRG announce full VALORANT roster for 2025
In a surprise move that’s sent ripples through the VALORANT community, NRG has officially revealed their full roster for the 2025 VCT season. The complete lineup, which showcases a mix of familiar faces and fresh talent, will looks as follows:
The decision to lock in their roster just one day after releasing Max "Demon1" Mazanov, underscores NRG’s intent to hit the ground running in 2025, hoping to turn the page after a roller-coaster 2024 season.
The addition of players like mada and verno, alongside veterans like s0m, Ethan, and FNS, suggests a combination of experienced leadership and promising talent is at the core of NRG’s strategy for the upcoming year.
Veteran Core Returns
Both s0m and FNS have been key pillars in NRG’s structure. FNS, known for his sharp mind and leadership as an in-game leader (IGL), has been an instrumental part of NRG’s previous campaigns. s0m, a versatile player with experience in multiple roles, adds flexibility and firepower to the lineup.
The two players rejoined NRG in the middle of the 2024 VCT year in an attempt to correct course for the team, and will remain with NRG as they head into next year. As veterans, FNS and s0m bring invaluable experience to the squad and will be pivotal in shaping NRG’s future performances.
Ethan, a highly adaptable player, will also be a cornerstone for the team. His ability to perform at a high level as an initiator makes him a valuable asset, giving NRG the flexibility they need to break into sites. Having rejoined NRG at the end of 2023 after spending a year away from the team, Ethan's production with the team has been commendable as the organization looks to make him a core piece of the roster this time around.
New Blood: Mada and Verno
The Arrival of Mada: Explosive Firepower
Mada, a standout player from Moist x Shopify Rebellion, brings a much-needed burst of energy and firepower to NRG’s roster. Mada has earned a reputation as a highly skilled duelist with a keen sense of timing and mechanical skill that allows him to outmaneuver his opponents in clutch moments.
His aggressive style of play will give NRG the kind of explosive potential they need to open up rounds and create space for the team. In mada, NRG will be hoping to find everything they expected Demon1 to bring to the team.
With his addition of mada, NRG now has a player who thrives on taking fights head-on, which should bring a new layer of unpredictability to their playstyle. His confidence and ability to break open rounds could be key for NRG as they face tough opponents in 2025.
Verno’s Rising Star: The Future of NRG
As one of the most promising young players to emerge on the VALORANT scene, verno's signing by NRG has already created a lot of excitement.
Verno has shown immense potential early in his career with Oxygen Esports, demonstrating not only raw talent but also a maturity in his gameplay that is rare for a player at this stage. His flexible approach and willingness to adapt have quickly made him a rising star, with many experts pegging him as one of the next breakout players in the VCT.
If verno continues to grow at his current pace, he could very well become a cornerstone of NRG’s future success.
A New Direction for NRG
NRG’s decision to part ways with Demon1 and revamp their roster signals a shift in focus for the 2025 VCT season. The team is clearly banking on the synergy between their veteran leadership and the raw talent of their new recruits. With FNS’s strategic mind at the helm, the firepower of mada, and the emerging talent of verno, NRG is betting on a balanced, dynamic lineup to take them to the top.
As NRG heads into the 2025 season, the organization’s fans will be eager to see how this new roster comes together. With the veteran experience of players like FNS, s0m, and Ethan, combined with the exciting potential of mada and verno, NRG’s path to success might just be in their ability to blend experience with explosive new talent.
The upcoming VCT season will be a crucial test for the team as they aim to re-establish themselves as a dominant force in the competitive VALORANT scene.
