In Team Liquid’s most recent move to shuffle their roster for the new season, they have made the decision to bench Josh "oSee" Ohm. This marks a significant shake-up for Liquid. Thus leaving only Keith "NAF" Markovic and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis as the remaining players on the active roster. As the organization gears up for a major overhaul in 2024, oSee's departure opens the door for potential new talent.

Osee Moves To The Bench

After a two-year stint with Liquid, oSee's journey with the team has reached a crossroads. The American AWPer initially caught the eye with his exceptional performance on Extra Salt. Thereby earning a reputation as the best AWPer in North America. However, his transition to Team Liquid didn't see the same level of success on an individual level, despite the team securing notable playoff runs in events such as IEM Cologne 2022, BLAST Fall Finals 2022, and IEM Katowice 2023.

Despite some deep playoff runs, including a runner-up finish in ESL Pro League Season 16 and BLAST Premier World Final 2022, Liquid struggled to secure championship titles. The additions of Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov and Robert "Patsi" Isyanov failed to break the title drought, prompting Liquid to reevaluate their roster.

Nrg Eyes Osee

While oSee finds himself on the bench, there might be a swift resolution to his situation. NRG has reportedly set its sights on acquiring the 24-year-old AWPer for their revamped lineup. However, the move hinges on the successful negotiation of a buyout from oSee's contract with Liquid.

Liquid's Roster Overhaul

Liquid's decision to bench oSee is part of a larger restructuring effort for the new year. The reported additions of Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken, Casper “cadiaN” Møller, Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, and Wilton "zews" Prado signify a significant shift in the team's dynamics. With this revamped lineup, Liquid aims to address previous shortcomings and establish a more formidable presence in the competitive CS2 scene.

Looking to the Past and Future

Reflecting on oSee's legacy with Team Liquid, it's undeniable that his time with the organization saw moments of brilliance, notably reaching the finals in ESL Pro League Season 16 and BLAST Premier World Final 2022. However, the inability to clinch championship titles ultimately led to the decision to restructure the roster.

As the CS:GO community awaits the resolution of the potential move to NRG, questions linger about oSee's future. Will he find success with a new team, or does Liquid's decision mark a turning point in his career? The esports world is buzzing with anticipation as the story unfolds.
