Patch 25.S1.3 Preview: Atakhan Changes, Thresh Buffs, and More!

League of Legends continues to ramp up its first, Noxian-themed season of the year, and now prepares for the arrival of patch 25.S1.3. This latest patch addition plans to address issues with Voracious Atakhan, as well as the sudden rise in popularity of tank-build Jayce, or Thresh's own fall into irrelevancy.

Officially coming to the game on Sunday, February 5th, patch 25.S1.3 is expected to bring more stability to the game while Riot continues to monitor how Mel, the newest champion addition to League of Legends, continues to perform.

All information about patch 25.S1.3 came from an X (Twitter) post made by Matt "Phroxzon" Leung-Harrison, League of Legends' Lead Gameplay Designer.

Atakhan 

"This patch, we're increasing Voracious Atakhan's stasis duration after being killed to 15s, in addition to increasing the reward for claiming the GA false life to 200g per player (from last patch).

The tempo gained from Voracious buff is too much on current tuning and we'll continue to pull these levers. We intend for Atakhan to still give an advantage to the team who claimed him (it is an Epic objective after all)."

Domination Keystones & Assassins

"This patch brings a hefty buff to the Domination keystones, which will systemically buff most assassin users which are struggling as a result of Eyeball Collector being removed."

    • Base damage increased 55/70/85/100/115 >>> 60/90/120/150/180

  • Hail of Blades buffs:

  • Spellblade Expose Weakness nerfs:
    • Increased damage reduced 10/5% >>> 8/5% (melee/ranged)

Cloud Soul

  • Bonus Move Speed reduced 20% >>> 15%

Void Grubs

  • Touch of the Void structure damage per stack reduced 8/4 >>> 6/3 (melee/ranged) every 0.5 seconds for 4 seconds (64/32 >>> 48/24 (melee/ranged) total)
  • On spawn, stats for 6 minutes update immediately instead of at ~6:04

Voracious Atakhan

  • False Life stasis duration increased 5.5 >>> 15 seconds

Champion Bounties

  • Required lead for champion bounty devaluation reduced by 60%.
  • Losing team bounties fully turn off 50% sooner.
  • When Objective Bounties spawn, champion bounties are fully suppressed for the losing team.
