Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: Playoffs Preview

After a wild ride through the Elimination Stage, we’ve reached the Playoffs of the Shanghai Major where every match is a fight for survival. The stakes couldn’t be higher: win, and you stay in the running for the trophy. Lose, and it’s time to pack up and head home.

This year’s Playoffs lineup is full of surprises. The biggest shock? The MongolZ, who’ve gone undefeated and toppled some of the world’s best teams to make it this far. Meanwhile, heavyweights like Natus Vincere didn’t even make the cut, falling short in a brutal 2-3 pool.

The Shanghai Major has been a rollercoaster, with plenty of underdog stories to cheer for. Teams like MIBR and FURIA came out swinging with strong starts, winning two straight games before ultimately falling short. They didn’t make it to the final stages, but their performances left a mark and offered plenty to build on for next season.

Now, the field has narrowed to just eight teams. These are the best of the best, ready to battle it out for Counter-Strike’s ultimate prize. Here’s a look at the Playoffs bracket and what to expect from each matchup:
