PGL Wallachia Season 4: Format, Schedule, Fixtures and More
A week has passed since ESL One Raleigh crowned its champions, and now Season 4 of the PGL Wallachia is upon us. Sixteen teams will fight for the lion’s share of a $1 million prize pool, with Team Liquid entering as the reigning champions.
Take a look at the finer details of the last major PGL tournament before The International. We’ll break down the tournament format and preview the matchups for the first round of the Group Stage, which kicks off on April 19 in Bucharest, Romania.

PGL Wallachia Season 4: Format & Organization
Let’s look at how the tournament is organized. The Group Stage will follow the adapted Swiss format. All 16 teams will play five rounds starting on April 19, and by April 23, half of them will be eliminated.
Every match is a best-of-three series. From the second round onward, teams are paired based on their current win-loss records. Teams that secure three wins advance to the playoffs, while those with three losses are eliminated.

The playoffs run from April 24 to April 27 in a traditional double-elimination bracket. All teams start in the upper bracket and need two losses to be eliminated.
As usual, the Grand Finals will be a best-of-five. The team that emerges victorious will take home $300,000 — almost a third of the total prize pool.
Invited Talent Lineup
Next, let’s talk about the broadcast talent bringing this event to life.

Stats: Leamare returns as the numbers magician. Analysts: Teaguvnor, Jenkins, Fear, and Lizzard make up the analyst desk.

Must-Watch Matches of Round 1
Finally, let’s highlight a couple of first-round matchups that are worth setting an alarm for.
PARIVISION vs AVULUS – This clash might not seem evenly matched on paper, but AVULUS has historically done well against PARIVISION. After winning ESL One Raleigh, PARIVISION comes in as a heavy favorite — but this could be the upset of the day.

Team Liquid vs Nigma Galaxy – Liquid are the defending Wallachia champs, while Nigma Galaxy are still trying to reclaim their former glory. With Ghost standing in for Miracle-, Nigma will aim to put on a strong showing.
Nigma Galaxy's 2025 campaign has had some highlights, including a Top 4 finish at BLAST Slam II and an 8th place showing at ESL One Raleigh. A win here would be huge.

PGL Wallachia Season 4 will be streamed live on PGL’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. Matches will be split between Stream A and Stream B — if you can’t find the game you want, check the alternate stream or the tab of active streams on YouTube.
