REKKLES, ALLIANCE AND FNATIC

Rekkles and Fnatic were once synonymous with each other. The AD Carry phenom made a name for himself on Fnatic when he first properly joined back in November 2013, and stayed with Fnatic for exactly a year. With his stocks at an all time high, Rekkles was signed to the first EU "super-team" in Alliance, alongside EU legends of the time like Henrik "Froggen" Hansen and Erik "Tabzz" van Helvert.

Despite a stellar domestic run in the EU LCS, Alliance quickly fell apart after a middling finish at Worlds 2014, failing to escape the Group Stage. Alliance rebranded to Elements the following year, and Rekkles would exit the organization shortly after the rebrand.

Fnatic and Rekkles reunited in May 2015, where Rekkles would be the starting AD carry for the organization for half-a-decade, eventually leaving Fnatic for direct rival, G2 Esports (G2) in November 2020. This move shook up the entire League esports scene, with the face of Fnatic leaving to join their storied rivals.

BONJOUR, KARMINE CORP

In a move almost as shocking as Rekkles joining G2, one year after Rekkles' stay at G2, the franchise ADC player took a deal with French organization Karmine Corp (KCORP) to play in the LFL, the official French league of LoL Esports.

On KCORP, Rekkles would unite with tenured Vitality top laner Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet, a player who spent a similar long-stretch of time on Vitality, just as Rekkles spent a long-stretch of his career on Fnatic.

Rekkles' results on KCORP ranged from pretty fantastic, to solid - placing second in the LFL 2022 Spring regular season, and third in the playoffs, narrowly missing the finals of LFL 2022 Spring playoffs. The following LFL Summer season saw KCORP place sixth in both the regular season and playoffs, a disappointing result considering the hype behind the team, as well as their previous placements with a proven Rekkles.

WELCOME HOME?

While word from LEC Wooloo is not 100% confirmation, it's likely word from Fnatic on the status of their AD Carry position will soon come to light. It remains to be seen, but a return to Fnatic for Rekkles is sure to bring some hype to the LEC in preperation for the upcoming Spring season.

Rekkles shared a post on Twitter, cryptically captioned "I'm back," more than likely a tease to his currently unconfirmed return to the LEC and Fnatic.

No matter what, this off-season has already proven to have some crazy announcements, with a nice chunk of time before any games start up again come January.
