Riot announces Valorant Premier Global Open Beta Launch with Episode VI Act III
Dubbed the "Path to Pro", Valorant Premier receives a Global Beta Launch date. The new competitive mode will hit Valorant with the start of Episode VI Act III. The mode will feature players creating their teams to compete in weekly matches.
What is Valorant Premier?
Premier is the upcoming Valorant In-game Competitive mode allowing players to make a team and compete in in-game tournaments. The team-based competitive system will be a connecting link between Valorant and Esports. A division will be assigned to all the playing teams. The teams will play weekly matches on a designated map in their division to garner enough points to play in the Division Championship.
From the esports point of view, Premier will also be the path for the Challenger Leagues worldwide. Top teams competing in the Premier will be invited to play challengers. Premier aims to replace the open qualifiers of the challenger leagues. Premier can also be fun for casual players to play weekly matches with your five stacks to earn in-game rewards.
When will Premier be launched?
We witnessed the Alpha testing of the new mode in Brazil for 21 days. The alpha launch helped Riot understand and tackle the issues of the mode itself rather than scaling issues. Now after three months, Riot finally announced the Global Beta Launch of the Premier system. Last night with the VCT LOCK//IN playoffs, we saw the Global Beta Launch announcement trailer. The Global beta of the Valorant Premier will be launched with Episode VI Act III, which will be around 60 days after Act II starting March 6th. More information on the mode and how players will get their hands on the new beta will be released as soon as we get closer to the launch date.
