After letting go of three members at the end of 2023, has been busy rebuilding its Dota 2 roster. The organization has gone global in its hunt for players, first adding Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer as a mid-laner and now recruiting Andrei "skem" Ong to the line-up.

Skem is one of the most distinguished players in South East Asia. During his time with Boom Esports, the organization dominated the DPC league and qualified for every major International tournament.

Joining Shopify Rebellion reacquaint skem with his former partner Yopaj. The duo played together for a year on Boom and had their most impressive achievements together.

While on Boom, Andrei placed first at two DPC Tours and second place once. At International events, the team had more mixed results, with a top-eight finish at PGL Arlington and a 9-12th placement in ESL Stockholm and The International 11.

After TI concluded, skem left Boom to join Geek Fam and hasn't had the same impact on the Dota 2 scene, with his most significant achievement being a top 12 finish at Games of the Future 2024.

skem is a former carry player who transitioned into playing hard support to utilize his leadership ability better. He has impressive mechanical skills and unorthodox picks for the role.

As a carry, skem picked Chen as a position one and ran his enemies down. It perfectly encapsulated his odd approach to the game, something Yopaj took inspiration from.

Skem kept his creative streak with Geek Fam, playing Alchemist, Keeper of the Light, and Centaur Warrunner.

Time will tell how Shopify performs with Andrei but there won't be long to wait. The line-up will debut in the upcoming DreamLeague Season 23, beginning on May 20th.
