SUYGETSU reportedly joining Karmine Corp for VCT 2025
The Karmine Corp overhaul for 2025 continues, now with Dmitrii “SUYGETSU” Iliushin reportedly joining the French organization to compete in the VCT EMEA next year.
After announcing free agency from Natus Vincere earlier this month, it appears it didn't take long for SUYGETSU to find a new team to call home, according to a report by Sheep Esports' Brieuc "LEC Wooloo" Seeger.
SUYGETSU joins a future powerhouse
Despite SUYGETSU starting an international bidding war after announcing free agency, few projects across all of the VCT seem as ambitious as that of Karmine Corp.
Recently, news hit the esports world on former LOUD player Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro joining KC for 2025. A former VALORANT Champions winner, the inclusion of Saadhak's leadership immediately turned Karmine Corp's project from intriguing to incredibly exciting.
Now, with the addition of SUYGETSU, KC has found a rock solid sentinel player to side with Saadhak in their pursuit for championships. SUYGETSU, it's worth remembering, also had a taste of international success when he won the 2022 Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen with FunPlus Phoenix.
Following their latest set of moves, Karmine Corp is sending a clear message to the rest of the VCT EMEA, this team wants 2025 to come up nothing but blue.
Into the unknown
Though Karmine Corp's project is undoubtedly exciting, SUYGETSU will be entering brand new turf.
The FPX roster with which SUYGETSU won Masters Copenhagen back in 2022 is the very same roster with which he competed in the VCT EMEA 2024 with NA'VI. Despite being a veteran player in his own right, SUYGETSU has little competitive experience without the likes of ANGE1, Shao or Zyppan at his side.
With KC for 2025, SUYGETSU will have to do his best to adapt to a whole new set of teammates, which will presumably come with an entirely different system as well.
As usual, however, it is precisely that unfamiliar element which fills the future with excitement.
