Lee "k1ng" Seung-won :

Gen.G k1ng

Part of the Legendary 102-0 Vision Strikers Run of the 2020/21 Valorant Season. The Sentinel Main k1ng was one of the pillars of the teams. He also served a brief stint on OnSlayer for VCT Korean Stage two Challengers.

Yu "TS" Tae-seok:

Gen.G TS

TS played alongside k1ng on OnSlayers. TS will likely play controller on GenG and lead the team in the game. His experience as IGL on OnSlayers and TNL will be helpful for him role in GenG.

Kim "Meteor" Tae-o:

Gen.G Meteor

Another of TNL's alumni, Meteor is well known for his Operator plays. He was one of the strongest players on the Northeption when they toppled Japan's best Zeta Division.

Yeom "Eko" Wang-ryeong:

Gen.G EKo

Eko was part of the TNL roster, one of the strongest teams in Korea in 2021. The Sova/Fade main will surely be happy to be reunited with the TNL teammates. Eko will try to get his hands on the trophy this time.

Kim "Secret" Ha-jin:

Gen.G Secret

The Flex player from Desperado and Damwon will join the Tiger nation for the upcoming VCT season.

Lee "Bail" Sung-jae:

Gen.G Bail

Bail was Northeption's coach during the legendary VCT Japan Stage 2 run. On GenG, Bail will reunite with Meteor, Eko and TS. With the team already familiar with each, there'd be great chemistry. The team will surely a foce at VCT 2023 Kickoff tournament.

Chris "Elampuddy" Tebbit:

Gen.G Elmapuddy

The GenG coach from NA will maintain his head coach position going into the VCT 2023 Season.

How good is the new GenG Valorant?

With Meteor as the tip of the sphere, GenG will surely be a force to be reckoned with. With the team chemistry already somewhat present with multiple players having played each other, the team will not take much time to click and hopefully play well off each other.

Looking at the player's histories, the roles are already in place, with the roles predetermined. It does seem the Organisation signed a proper team and tried to make the team without making changes to the roles the players with play. Since players are already experienced in their roles, it will be much better to kick off the practice, and the main focus will be building team chemistry as a whole and starting for the upcoming tournament.

And since all the players playing are Korean, communication will not be an issue for the team, compared to international rosters created by many other organisations. It seems GenG will have an easier time initially, depending on the player's performance on the server.

The GenG roster may not be the best roster going into the VCT 2023 Kickoff tournament, but they have great potential and will be one of the teams to watch out for in the VCT Pacific league.
