At the VCT Pacific Week 2, Team Secret faced Paper Rex in a best-of-three series. Facing their toughest competitors and rivals of old, Team Secret finally took down Paper Rex 2-1. After the win, Strafe interviews Team Secret's controller Jim "BORKUM" Timbreza. In an exclusive 1-on-1 interview, TS Borkum talks about individual performance, team performance, and doubters.

Q. You(Borkum) performed amazingly in the game, especially the 1v3 clutch in the Viper's Pit. Can you walk me through how did you worked through it?

TS Borkum: "I was set up well by my teammates. They helped me a lot throughout the clutch. I caught Neon walking out of the Viper's pit and then isolated the duels. In a 1v1 vs. Viper, I eliminated all the other places and pre-fired the angle, which worked well."

Q. You won the game, but despite a strong lead on Haven, you couldn't convert it into a win. What do you think went wrong?

TS Borkum: " I think we started well on Haven but didn't play well on the attack. We weren't playing our game during the attack. We kept slamming sites without taking map control, and Paper Rex shut us down."

Q. Since the team's inception during the VCT partnership announcement, People have doubted Team Secret. In all the matches up to this point, you were doubted and the underdogs. What will you say to the doubters?

TS Borkum: "We don't mind the haters or doubters. The doubts only help us get better and play our game. We thrive on doubt. I will ask them to keep doubting us, and we will keep winning."

Q. You are a very strong team. But you have had your troubles? What do you think you lack as a team?

TS Borkum: "I think a lot of our problems are mental. When we are on advantage and lose a round, we kind of stumble, letting teams equalize the scoreline. Once we work on it, I think we will be a stronger team."

Q. You acquired Lenne from Bleed. What are your plans for him, and will we see a six-man roster from Team Secret?

TS Borkum: "I can't let you in on everything, but we have plans for him. You'd have to wait and see, but we plan to integrate him with the roster."

Q. What are your thoughts on Gekko?

TS Borkum: "I think he is a good agent, has a decent kit and just like other initiators, you just have to get used to playing him. Teams must prepare to be caught off-guard by enemies, Gekko."

Q. Can we see Team Secret experiment with agent composition?

TS Borkum: "Maybe, We will see. Bind is back in Week 5, and everyone will prepare the map. But we'll see."

Q. Which team are you looking forward to facing the most?

TS Borkum: "Especially DRX. All the Korean teams, We are very motivated because we have to beat them in their homecourt."

Team Secret will face their first Korean competitors in GenG today. GenG and Team Secret are undefeated in the competition and will be prepared for each other. Team Secret has only been looking stronger as the competition advances. They will be looking to keep on winning to conclude week 3 with a 3-0 score.
