On the first day of the playoffs of VALORANT Champions Seoul 2024, Riot Games treated fans with the reveal of the game's latest agent, Vyse. Having been teased yesterday, now we get a first full look at the latest sentinel agent to land on the server.

This Sentinel is the 25th agent added to VALORANT, but officially known as Agent 26 due to the mysterious absence of Agent 8 since the game's beta days.

Vyse brings a unique set of abilities centered around liquid metal, making her a formidable opponent on the battlefield.

Vyse's Abilities: Liquid Metal Manipulation

Vyse is a Sentinel who excels in controlling the battlefield through isolation, trapping, blinding, and disarming her enemies. Her abilities make her an essential pick for players who value strategy and utility. Here's a detailed look at what Vyse brings to the table:

ARC ROSE (E)

Vyse deploys a reusable, invisible Arc Rose that blinds all players who look at it. This ability can be redeployed, offering flexibility and the opportunity to catch enemies off guard repeatedly.

SHEAR (Q)

This ability allows Vyse to set a hidden trap that spawns a brief, indestructible wall when triggered by enemies. This can be used to isolate enemies or block their escape routes, making it a powerful tool for controlling the flow of battle.

RAZORVINE (C)

Vyse launches a razorvine nest that becomes invisible after being deployed. When activated, it slows and damages enemies, giving Vyse the upper hand in engagements by weakening opponents before they can reach her or her team.

STEEL GARDEN (Ultimate)

Vyse's ultimate ability unleashes a torrent of metal thorns that jam nearby enemies' primary weapons after a brief windup. This devastating ability can turn the tide of battle by disarming opponents and leaving them vulnerable to follow-up attacks.

Unlocking Vyse's Agent Gear

As with all agents in VALORANT, Vyse comes with ten tiers of unlockable rewards that players can earn by playing the game. Each tier offers unique Vyse-themed items that enhance the player's experience. Here's what you can expect to unlock:

  • Tier 1: Spray - Jammed
  • Tier 2: Player Card - VALORANT Vyse
  • Tier 3: Title - Tempered
  • Tier 4: Spray - Arts and Crafts
  • Tier 5: 2,000 Kingdom Credits
  • Tier 6: Gun Buddy - Metal Petals
  • Tier 7: Spray - Vyse Spray
  • Tier 8: Title - Metalweaver
  • Tier 9: Player Card - A History Erased
  • Tier 10: Gun Skin - Steel Resolve (Classic)

These rewards offer a variety of cosmetic and functional items that reflect Vyse's unique identity and aesthetic.

Vyse's Release Date and Episode 9 Act 2

Players won’t have to wait long to get their hands on Vyse. Riot Games announced that they will release Vyse in VALORANT on August 28, 2024, alongside the launch of Episode 9 Act 2. Players highly anticipate this update, expecting Vyse’s unique abilities to shake up the current meta and introduce new strategies to explore.

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Team Vitality remains one of the most influential and well-known esports organizations to date. The Paris-based org fields over 20 esports teams in various esports, though their immensely impressive results in Counter-Strike take center stage.  Being one of the organizations present at Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, we managed to speak with Fabien "Neo" Devide, Co-Founder and CEO of the Hive, just after an interview with Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, at the opening press conference at EWC. Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
