Map 1: Haven
EG had a decent start on Haven. They showed off a strong defensive side, as they managed to end the first half 7-5. NRG fought back in the second half, as they pulled off a 5 round win streak on their defensive side. But EG closed off the map at 13-11.
Map 2: Ascent
Ascent was a whole different game in the first half. NRG had a very strong defense, which allowed them to take 9 rounds and end the half at 9-3. They got to Map Point right off the bat in the second half with a 3 round win streak. However, EG did give them a scare of a comeback, as they took 5 rounds straight. But then NRG decided to end the map at 13-8.
Map 3: Lotus
Lotus was a very defense-sided map. EG started off on the defense, and did a decent job. They managed to end the half at 7-5. But NRGwere just better. Their Defense was stronger, and allowed EG to take only 3 rounds before closing out the map 13-10.
Map 4: Split
Split was do-or-die for EG, but they were not given a chance to show it. NRG had a strong chokehold on this map. They started off with a near perfect attack-side, only managing to give up one round in the first half, to end it 11-1. EG just started to pull some rounds together on their attacking side, but it was far from enough, as two alternate round wins from NRG secured the map for them at 13-4.
NRG have moved on to the Grand Finals of VCT Americas 2023, where they will face off against LOUD for the title of Champions of the Americas.
