Week 2 of DPC Spring Tour has started: Here's what you missed
Week 2 of the DPC Spring has started, and here’s a quick recap of the action that happened in Western Europe.
Team Liquid Vs Nigma Galaxy
Nigma Galaxy has been showing signs of improvement, and although they were inconsistent, it is enough to give fans some hope. Their series against Team Liquid is proof of it.
In game 1, Nigma Galaxy played brilliantly around midlane Timbersaw shutting down Team Liquid’s game plan. While the team’s hard carry Templer Assasin farms, Nigma Galaxy hunted down Team Liquid heroes taking them off the map and shutting down every possible way for them to come back into the game. Eventually, at 57 minutes, Nigma Galaxy closed out game 1.
In game 2, Team Liquid strikes back hard with a fast-tempo draft consisting of safelane Razor and midlane Sniper to counter Nigma Galaxy’s midlane Huskar. Having no farm on their midlane Huskar and no answers to the pace of the game, Nigma Galaxy tapped out at 31 minutes in game 2.
Nigma Galaxy won the laning stage in game 3, but Team Liquid didn’t flinch. Playing methodically and only taking team fights only on their terms, Team Liquid was able to choke Nigma Galaxy. At 33 minutes, Nigma Galaxy tapped out, giving the series to Team Liquid.
Gaimin Gladiators Vs Monaspa
In game 1 of the series, Monaspa tried to play a fast pace game against The Lima Major champions. However, as the game progressed, Gaimin Gladiators was able to hold off the momentum and return the pressure of their own eventually, at 62 minutes, GG closed out game 1.
Monaspa ultimately got their revenge in game 2 Monaspa forced a game 3 against GG at 33 minutes.
In game 3, GG played around their midlane Tusk. However, their hard carry Sniper got pressured during the laning stage. The hero received the needed recovery farm as the team created space on the map. At 39 minutes, Gaimin Gladiators closed out game 3, taking the series.
Tundra Esports Vs Entity
In game 1, Tundra Esports perfectly predicted Entity’s game plan. Tundra Esports got Entity off guard, playing unpredictably fast with a Spectre draft. Tundra dominated Entity and closed out game 1 at 32 minutes. In game 2, Tundra unveils their Abaddon safelane hard carry. It might seem like a controversial decision at first. But as the game progressed, they proved it was the right decision by going 12 kills 1 dead and 15 assists on the hero, completely dominating Entity. At 34 minutes, Entity tapped out giving the series to Tundra Esports.
